Delivery and packaging
Your order will be packaged in recycled cardboard and insulated with British sheep’s wool insulation called Woolcool®.
Packaging
Woolcool® was launched in 2008 and we have been involved with them since the beginning. This innovative, sustainable design has scooped an impressive haul of awards in the packaging, business and environmental arenas. Woolcool® remains the only packaging company using a range of sheep’s wool insulated packaging available on a commercial scale. Woolcool® helps us keep your order cool and fresh.
Just like our sheep, we appreciate the insulation value of the wool! The woolen liners coupled with ice packs keep the chilled and frozen produce at the correct temperature whilst in transit to your door. Wool can be easily recycled through a couple of creative ways.
Delivery charges
Nationwide delivery slots are available twice weekly across England, Wales, and mainland Scotland.
Standard deliveries are as follows:
Orders Over £150 - FREE
Orders Over £100 - £6.75
Orders Under £100 - £13.50
Delivery to the Highlands and remote areas can be arranged but these are on a case-by-case basis, so please contact us to arrange this.
We sometimes get asked why our delivery charges are higher than some of our online competitors. The easy answer to this is that this is what it costs, and rather than hide the price of delivery in the retail price of the meat, we offer reasonable retail prices coupled with real-world delivery charges. We do encourage customers to place bigger orders which reduce our carbon footprint by creating fewer delivery journeys with free delivery on all orders over £150.
Collections
If you are visiting the farm shop you are welcome to pop in and browse the shop and butchery counter, where our butchers will be more then willing to help with any specific requirements. If you are looking for something specific or are coming for a large order to fill the freezer, you can order online and select collection from the farm shop, and we will have your meat ready for you to collect in the designated time slot.
