Kelly Bronze Turkeys are reared on the outskirts of Shrewsbury (Condover) by the Cartwright family with welfare and quality at the heart of everything. A strain of wild turkey the bronze birds are raised for twice as long as commercial turkeys giving them a deeper ‘gamier’ flavour.
Their feed is based on locally grown cereals and vegetable protein. KellyBronze turkeys are bred without additives, drugs or growth promoters and their feed is GM free.
The birds are hand plucked and then hung in a chilled environment for 14 days to develop an even fuller flavour. Each Kelly Bronze turkey supplied with cooking instructions and a temperature probe.
